Nicole Bowman has 10 years experience working for some of the UK’s leading PR consultancies where she led award-winning programmes recognized by the CIPR, Sage Business Telegraph Awards and The Soil Association. Since becoming a trainer and coach, she has worked with wide range of clients nationally and internationally including Cambridge Marketing College, Orange, Homeserve GB, Business West, Westcountry Housing and many others. Her supportive, yet challenging training style and practical industry knowledge enables people to master essential skills while developing deeper self-awareness, which helps them to take control of their business success.
Peter Brill is director of Net-Mentor Ltd, specialists in written and multimedia content, strategic public relations, communication skills training and facilitation. After training and working in broadcast journalism, Peter turned to PR - leaving his last corporate role as Head of PR at RAC to set up his own company. In-house and agency experience includes strategic PR planning, brand communications and crisis management. He is a lecturer for the CIPR and CIM in Public Relations and Chairman of Salaam Shalom, the UK’s first Muslim/Jewish radio station.
Magnus Carter, MCIPR worked as a journalist in newspapers, radio and TV, covering several general elections, the storming of the Iranian Embassy and the Libyan Embassy siege for radio, and the British Midland air crash at Kegworth for TV. In 1998, he established Mentor Consultancy, providing a range of personal communications training including handling the media. Magnus was communications advisor to the Bristol Royal Infirmary Public Inquiry Team and has run crisis simulations for major transport operators, banks, utilities, facilities management companies, housing providers and local authorities.
Vyvyan Kinross, BA (Hons), MCIPR, has been a marketing and PR consultant for over 25 years. He has worked in-house, in agencies and has been a co-founder of a successful PR and marketing consultancy. Vyvyan is an experienced trainer, working with individuals and teams at every level of the profession. A graduate in Modern Arabic Studies, he is a former journalist specialising in Middle East affairs and remains a member of the National Union of Journalists.
Jane Silk MA (Marketing) MCIM - A qualified senior marketing professional, Jane has worked in marketing and branding for over 20 years. She has developed brand and product propositions for blue chip organisations including Marks & Spencer, Boots, Mercedes Benz,
Andrew Fawkes MCIM AETNT - is a Chartered Marketer with over 20 years` experience in the financial services sector. His senior marketing roles include brand, communications and staff engagement. He has also run a business advisory consultancy focusing on the improvement in performance of marketing teams. Recent clients include Lloyds TSB, Co-op Bank, Co-op Food Retail, The DMA West, The Spark Agency Network and BANES Education Authority CVS.
Neil Wilkins - is a Marketing Consultant with experience in a range of industries including financial services, telecoms, public sector, IT, consumer retail products and manufacturing. He specialises in the development and delivery of strategic and tactical marketing training courses which benefit from his knowledge and background as well as drawing from a broad base of current business models and case studies.
Neil graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a BSc (hons) degree in Psychology. He then embarked on a career in Marketing including time spent as: Marketing Manager at Ordnance Survey (UK), Strategic Marketing Manager with Marconi (Global), Marketing Manager at Mitel Networks (UK), European Marketing Manager for BP Castrol (Europe) Product Group Manager at Mira Showers (Benelux), Product Manager with Orange (UK) and Marketing Officer in NatWest (UK).
As an experienced Marketing Consultant, Neil now advises commercial and public sector organisations in marketing strategy as well as providing a full design service and the creation and management of tactical campaigns.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and provides training in all subjects to delegates taking the CIM Post Graduate Diploma and Certificate. He also provides distance learning to international delegates on the CIM Professional Award in e-Marketing and a broad range of private and public sector focused courses.
Neil is an enthusiastic and dedicated trainer and his personable and welcoming style allows individuals and groups to settle quickly into team tasks and helps them to absorb knowledge.
Heather Yaxley - established Applause Consultancy in 2000 to challenge thinking about PR and communications through educational, networking and strategic counselling initiatives. Her consultancy clients have included a number of multinational companies, global PR agencies, trade bodies and SMEs. She was recently awarded a fellowship by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and is the external examiner for the Institute`s Introductory qualification. Over the past decade, Heather has taught the CIPR Advanced Certificate and Diploma, establishing the UK`s largest network of teaching centres for these professional qualifications as Course Director at Cambridge Marketing Colleges (CMC).
She authored the initial international distance learning programme for the CIPR qualifications and played a role in helping gain QCA accreditation for the Advanced Certificate. In 2003, Heather created a distance learning CIM Arts Marketing Advanced Certificate course in partnership with CMC.
Heather has nearly 20 years experience within the automotive industry, working for major brands both in-house and as a consultant. She has managed major marketing and PR programmes, ranging from new product launches to sponsorships and motorshows. She developed particular expertise in SCSR initiatives, notably relating to environmental issues and pan-European citizenship programmes.
A BSc graduate in psychology, Heather also has a post-graduate qualification in learning and teaching and is a past recipient of the Women in PR award and the certificate of merit from the Worshipful Company of Marketers. She is an accredited practitioner of CIPR and an active member of its Wessex regional committee.
